What is Squaredle?
Squaredle is a daily word search game played on a square of letters. On the standard 4×4 board, connect adjacent tiles horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to spell words. A tile can appear only once in a single path. Find every Required word to finish the puzzle; other recognized words are saved as Bonus discoveries.

Move through touching letters horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, then release to submit. Jumps and repeated tiles are not allowed.

Required words advance the progress meter. Other recognized playable words are still recorded as Bonus discoveries.

Which words count in Squaredle?
This site uses a broad English lexicon built from SCOWL, with mainstream US, British/Oxford, Canadian, and Australian spellings. Recognized playable words are split into Required and Bonus by a fixed policy: familiar core words become Required when they meet the configured frequency threshold, while the remaining recognized words stay Bonus.
Broad English coverage
Regional spelling alone does not make a word invalid. Less-common and strongly regional forms are more likely to stay outside the Required set.
Required follows a fixed rule
Every playable word that is core-valid, frequent enough, and not on the Required-only exclusion list becomes Required. Difficulty does not trim that set.
Why a word may not count
Words under four letters, proper-name-only forms, abbreviations, and entries outside the accepted lexicon are not playable. Even a recognized word must follow a valid path through touching tiles on the board.

How do I play today’s Squaredle?

What counts as a valid Squaredle word?
Words must be at least 4 letters, exist in this site’s English lexicon, and follow a legal path through touching tiles without reusing a tile. Mainstream US, British, Canadian, and Australian spellings are included.
Do Bonus words count toward completion?
No. Bonus words are recognized and recorded, but only the puzzle’s Required words advance completion.
When does the daily Squaredle change?
The daily puzzle date changes at midnight in America/Los_Angeles, so everyone on this site receives the same board for that date.
Do all Squaredle sites use the same daily board?
No. Different Squaredle sites can publish different daily boards and use different word-list rules. This site uses the date shown above the board and keeps that published puzzle’s Required and Bonus lists fixed.
